Good Afternoon Team Diamond Valley,

Just touching base with everyone as we wrap up the winter sports season and look to the Summer Track & Field season. Our Cross Country Team has also had a wonderful season and kept their running fitness up in the cold months. Although the Registration Portal for T&F is not open yet, we expect it to happen in mid-August. We will let you know when that happens. We intend to have a non-competition Registration Day on the 3rd September and our first competition warm up round on the 10th September.
But in the meanwhile your DVLAC Committee and Clubs have been working really hard in the background are we are super excited to be introducing some changes this season. In the 2022/23 season we will:

-Welcome U17 Girls and Boys as a new Age Group
-Re-introduce a rotating program that will be published in our Handbook at the start of the season.
-Hopefully introduce javelin (turbojav or similar) to younger age groups either through training or competition.
-Reinvigorate the volunteer parent helper/duty system to ensure a fair distribution of volunteering by introducing a pre-season sign up.
-Continue to grow our avenues for education of volunteers
-Collaborate with our senior athletes from Diamond Valley Little Athletics (social events and fun events)
-Celebrate our own community through more social functions

We are an ambitious bunch, but we love Little Aths and know you and your kids do too. If you would like to be involved in any of the things we have going on or would like to volunteer to be on our committee, please do not hesitate to reach out.
