Join the Committee!
Succession planning for future committees can be really challenging because no one feels confident in putting their hand up. But you will be fully supported. Let us reassure you that this is where the teamwork happens. I came into the role of President having never done it before. (or being on the Centre Executive Committee). The team I had around me made my role so much easier. The good news is, that a majority of our Executive Committee will continue, so being on the committee will not be overwhelming.
But we need to plan forward now. I will circulate in the next few weeks the Role Descriptions again. But critical roles that we would like to fill include:
-President (I will continue to offer support to any incoming President for the season)
-Registrar (a position that is supported by Club Registrars)
-Assistant Treasurer (supporting the Treasurer and being trained to become future Treasurer)
-Assistant Secretary (supporting the Secretary and being trained to become future Secretary).
